Therefore we have included a lot more information than you may need. However, we have tried to arrange the information in a way that allows you to pick & choose what is of most interest to you. We have listed the major subjects & then provided more detailed descriptions for each issue. I. NAVIGATION – Getting around the website

Menus are placed on the left of each page so you can always get to & from wherever you are without getting lost or buried somewhere. Of most importance is the "HOME" page which shows all the product menus & links to all other pages on this website.

There are two sets of navigation tools: Our Product Category menu (the dark green menus near the top of the HOME page & our navigation menu (the redish menus on the left side of each page).

A. PRODUCT CATEGORIES (Top green bar)

BirdfeedersPlus has a wide assortment of products to meet virtually any need you may have to enjoy your bird hobby. We are continuously adding new products. If you don't find what you want, please let us know. Our products are arranged in 7 main categories. The subcategories are viewed by placing your cursor over the main category name. You can view all of the products in a main category by selecting the “Show All ” button. You may also select products from any of the individual subcategories listed below. Since there is not one universally-accepted set of categories for our products, some of them may be located in categories different than what you may call them. In addition, there can be more than one way to categorize a particular item (e.g., a squirrel proof feeder may be categorized as decorative & dome/caged. That's why it may be helpful to use the “Show All” button in each main category to see all of our selections, so that you don't miss what you're looking for.

1. FEEDERS (There are 10 Feeder subcategories):

Decorative – these are feeders with designs & are especially colorful

Domed/caged – typically with a roof cover to help protect the birds from rain/snow; they can have some type of meshing surrounding the feeder to keep larger birds out & allow smaller birds to feed

Hummingbird – specifically designed for feeding hummingbirds with nectar

Platform/hopper – these tend to be flat like a tray or box-like

Squirrel – designed to feed squirrels for their entertainment value and/or as a diversion to keep squirrels away from your bird feeders

Squirrelproof - a variety of designs to discourage/prevent squirrels from getting bird food from the feeder

Suet – to hold suet bars or cakes, with variations to accommodate different types of birds

Tube – typically cylindrical or rectangular in shape with a number of perches to accommodate smaller birds

Window – a variety of attachments/fittings to your home's windows to allow a close-up view of birds feeding

Other – includes non-bird feeders for butterflies, bats, etc.

•  HOME – the main, inital page of this website. The middle section of the page describes some of the key features of the site.

•  CHECKOUT – use when you're ready to purchase the items that you've selected

•  VIEW CART – to see what you have selected so far. The number of items currently in your cart can also be seen on the right side of each page. You can add, remove or change the quantity of an item in your cart at any time.

•  SEARCH – This is our website's search engine for finding a particular product in our store's catalog (not for searching the internet). We have developed the site with product menus (the top green bars), which tend to be a more effecient way to find our products.

•  CONTACT US – If you have any questions, comments, concerns or problems, click on this button on the left to take you to the contact page where you can click on “Send us an email” & we'll get back to you ASAP.

•  HELP – this page, the one you're on, is designed to provide useful information about how to use our website.

•  MY ACCOUNT – where you can see & enter information regarding your shipping address, email address for order confirmation, etc. The information provided will also make it easier & quicker the next time you visit & shop at our site. your account information is typicially set up when you have selected items to purchase & are ready to check-out, so their is no need to set up your account until then, unless you want to do it ahead of time to make checking-out a little quicker. The “password” is anything you to want to enter. If you forget your password, just click on “forgot your password” & we will immediately & automatically send it to you via email. My Account is also where you can check the shipping status of your order, so you know when to expect your package.You can check the box “subscribe to mailing list” to recieve our notice of special offers as well as our newsletter.

II. HOW TO SHOP BIRDFEEDERSPLUS

We've designed a quick & easy procedure for shopping at BirdfeedersPlus. Our products have been divided into 7 main categories. Each category is shown on the top green navigation bar. As you browse through our store, please feel free to add any products to your shopping cart which you think you may have any interest in, without having any obligation to purchase. Even if you're not sure you want the item, it is better & easier to add it to your cart while you're looking at it instead of going back & trying to find it again. Click on the “Save to Cart” button to have the selected product added to your cart. You can remove any items you do'nt want to purchase before checking-out. To delete an item from your cart, simply click on the “Remove” button in the “Saved Cart”. If you want to change the quantity of any item, click on “Update Quantity” & enter the new item quantitity that you want. When you're satisfied with what you want to purchase, you can begin the 2-step checkout process by clicking “Checkout” on the left red button or in your "Saved Cart”, which takes you to:

•  Order Information Page

This is where you enter the information needed for purchasing your items. If you're an existing customer, who has purchased from BirdfeedersPlus previously & your information hasn't changed, you don't need to enter any customer information, click on “Existing Customers Click Here to Sign In.” The "Addr Book ID” is the “password” to your account information. The Password is a maximum of 8 letters and/or numbers in any combination you would like. Then select the “Payment Method” by indicating the type of credit card you will be using. The “Please send me promotional email” is optional. You can choose what you would like to receive from us.Then click “Continue” to go to the final Check-Out step:

 

•   Payment Information Page

This secure encrypted page shows the information that you've entered for your order so far & allows you to make any changes, if desired. If you want to change something, click “Edit” to go back & make the change. Enter your credit card information, including your card's expiration date. Then click “Complete Order” & that's it!

You will immediately receive an email confirmation of your order from BirdfeedersPlus for your records.

 

III. OTHER FEATURES

•  COUPONS - BirdfeedersPlus periodically provides coupons to our customers via our email list & newsletter. These coupons can be redeemed upon checkout by entering the particular code provided with each coupon. The coupon dollar amount will be deducted from your total order upon check-out.

•  EMAIL A FRIEND - If you find an item that you think someone else may have an interest in, you can click on the “e-mail a friend” button on the particular product page. Then type in your friend's email address & include any message that you'd like & click on “send” & it will go to that person.

•  BOOKMARK – Our domain name, BirdfeedersPlus.com, describes who we are but is a little long to type in. So to make it easier for you to return to our site, you can add it to your list of favorite sites by simply clicking on “Bookmark” on the home page. You can delete that from your browser at any time.

•  SAVED CART – When you place a product in the shopping cart, you have the option of leaving it there, browsing & putting in additional products until you're ready to checkout.

•  MAILING LIST – If you check the Mailing List box on the check-out page, you will recieve our newsletter & occasional special offers & coupons.
